  • Alcohol Beverage Medical Research Foundation        http://www.abmrf.org/grants.htmThe Alcoholic Beverage Medical Research Foundation (ABMRF) is the largest, independent, non-profit foundation in North America devoted solely to supporting research on the effects of alcohol on health, behavior and prevention of alcohol-related problems. The Foundation accepts applications for grants to conduct research on important aspects of alcohol consumption and its effects.

Casey Foundation (AECF) has worked to build better futures for disadvantaged children and their families in the United States. The primary mission of the Foundation is to foster public policies, human service reforms, and community supports that more effectively meet the needs of today's vulnerable children and families. 
  • The George Gund Foundation

    The George Gund Foundation will consider applications for substance abuse treatment and prevention services. The Foundation is not active in the health field but applicants may submit letters of inquiry and proposals under the Foundation's human services category of funding. The letter of inquiry must be no longer than one page and must include a short description of the project and the amount requested. The Board of Directors meets in March, June, September, and December so applications are due December 30, March 30, June 30, and September 30.
     
  • Hanley Family Foundation
    The Hanley Family Foundation funds substance abuse prevention and treatment programs including those with connections to organizations involved with the diagnosis or treatment of alcoholism, chemical dependency, or other addictive behaviors. The foundation will support capital campaigns, matching/challenge support, program development, and seed money.   • Kmart Family Foundation

    The Kmart Family Foundation funds drug-abuse prevention programs in communities where Kmart has retail stores. Nonprofit groups are eligible to apply for grants that are awarded quarterly that combat the effects of dug abuse on youth and their families. Eligible applicants must have a drug prevention program in place prior to applying.
