Sandusky County Department of Job and Family Services has a parenting class designed to give parents the necessary skills and support to parent effectively. The program, taught by Linda Ackerman, Training Officer and Parenting Instructor, focuses on teaching parents different options in overcoming the many negative behaviors encountered everyday. The program focuses on; understanding your parenting style, courage and self-Esteem, understanding why your child does what they do, developing responsibility, winning cooperation, discipline, and becoming an Active Parent while developing mutual respect in your household.
